With a shared purpose and fully formed identity, Zach Talbert and The Silver Lining are poised to release a steady stream of new music into the world and extend their reach to connect with current and new fans.
At just 29-years-old, Texas-based singer-songwriter/guitarist Zach Talbert has over a decade of experience in the industry, including writing/creating songs, recording, and performing as a member of various bands and as a solo artist. When he was first starting out, Zach and his two brothers, George Talbert (drums) and Craig Anderson Jr (bass), formed The Bexar Creek Boys (classic rock/original groove). Notable moments while active from 2012-2015 included opening for The Band of Heathens, Brandon Jenkins, Uncle Lucius, Pardo and Reed, and Two Tons of Steele. Then in 2016, Zach along with his brother George joined San Antonio standouts The Reed Brothers’ band, with Zach on bass and George on drums. With The Reed Brothers, Zach and George traveled the country and played with artists such as Marshall Tucker Band, Marc Ford, Whiskey Meyers, and Ian Moore. When the time came to part ways with the Reed Brothers in 2018, George found his place with popular Texas-Groove band Midnight River Choir, and Zach set out on his own.
Since beginning his solo career, Zach released his first single “Hundred Dollar Bill” in April 2019, and his second single, “Poor Man’s Soul” in December 2019. In 2020, friends Hill Country Revival released a cover of “Hundred Dollar Bill” which spent several weeks on the Texas Music Pickers Spotify Chart as one of the most-streamed Texas/Red Dirt releases at that time. Zach also maintained a rigorous live performance schedule, playing countless gigs at a wide variety of venues in San Antonio, throughout the Texas Hill Country, and beyond. He’s shared the stage and formed relationships with many like-minded and exceptionally talented artists and songwriters, such as Grammy-nominated and multi-award winning songwriter David Lee, with whom Zach co-wrote his song "Runner" in 2021. During this time, Zach also worked diligently to put together a band that perfectly complements his style and enhances his already stellar music…The Silver Lining.
The cohesion and chemistry of Zach Talbert and The Silver Lining are apparent in each of their live performances. Those in attendance can’t help but be pulled in by their energy and authenticity. Their belief in each other and their music is convincing, and their enthusiasm is infectious. With his distinct, powerhouse voice and impressive range, Zach Talbert delivers heartfelt, memorable songs with scalding intensity, accentuated by sizzling guitar solos, lush harmonies, and raw energy. His original songs are deeply personal yet universal with passionate, sincere lyrics that have the power to provoke a profound response.

Gene Reeves was born in San Antonio and raised blue collar, drumming around San Antonio's hardcore punk scene, gettin' into trouble and earning a hard living working under the blazing Texas sun. After a short stint in community college he found his way into a career with the Fire Department. It was in and around the firehouse where he began writing songs.
But at a Social Distortion show of all places, Gene's interests took a turn toward country music. Their tribute set of Johnny Cash covers connected his punk background to a whole new world. He found himself taking deep dives into everything from Ray Price and Townes Van Zant to Johnny Bush and reruns of Beverly Hillbillies (that theme song is undeniable Bluegrass fire!).
It's Bluegrass that has especially entwined itself into Reeves' post-punk songwriting. While you can hear the Honky Tonk grit of Merle Haggard in Gene's voice, the music has an unmistakable imprint and bounce that brings to mind the sounds of Bill Monroe and Flatt & Scruggs.
These days you'll still find Gene outdoors, but by his own choosing. His love of nature frequently takes him out and about, winding his way through rural Texas backroads. Since 2015 he's criss-crossed the Central Texas Hill Country from Blanco to Cibolo, playing shows both as a solo act and with his band Gene Reeves and Co.
Brad Jenschke is a Texas country music singer, songwriter, guitarist and recording artist from Poteet, TX. He is on a mission to bring back true traditional country music in an era where the label “country” is slapped on anything. He is known for his cowboy image, polite and professional attitude towards fans and for grinding out guitar solos on his self-forged John Deere green guitar, known as “The Teletractor.”
The self-proclaimed “Rockstar Rancher” is a real working man who spends his days baling hay and working cattle, but suits up at night to play venues all over South Texas. He literally delivered a baby calf for a struggling cow an hour and a half before his first gig. His work ethic is reflected in his music as well: He has written, sang, and played all the guitars on every song that he has recorded.
Brad has “played for all and played for none,” with his range of venues including everything from ranch parties to rowdy dive bars to rodeo crowds and large festivals. He has opened for several big names including Roger Creager, Kevin Fowler, Parker McCollum and Granger Smith. He frequently packs the dancefloor at Tejas Rodeo Company in Bulverde, and has even been seen entertaining a wall-to-wall crowd on 6th Street in Austin!
Even though that sounds like a line from a country song, it was actually written over 150 years ago by an American novelist named George Eliot.
And even though it comes from a long-ago era, it perfectly describes me and my music today.
I may be hurtling toward age 60
like a runaway train, but…
An exciting new chapter in my life is just opening up, a whole new adventure.
After being away from music for quite a while, the lure became just too great, and I found myself being pulled back in… but this time with a lot more life experience and skill at my different crafts. Those include songwriting, singing and playing guitar.
Nothing is more satisfying to me than to hear people say how much they relate to a particular song I’ve written or how it’s touched something deep inside.
I try to be as honest as possible when I compose a song, figuring that nothing beats the truth for evoking real emotions in the listener. If that’s “old school,” so be it!.

Born and raised in a junkyard in Central Indiana, Mikey Goode spent the early years of his life working on the railroad to support his family. Realizing that trains weren’t his passion, he hung up his stopwatch and picked up his guitar. After the death of his father in 2018, Mikey decided that no paycheck was worth giving up what he loved to do most, which is travel the country and play country music.
Mikey released his first EP titled Junkyard Dog in 2018 in honor of losing his daddy as can be heard on One More Beer With Dad. In 2020 Mikey travelled to Texas to play a few shows and called it the Redneck Rockstar tour as he himself couldn’t believe that a redneck from the sticks of Indiana could actually have that much fun and call it work. He recorded the single, Redneck Rockstar, and promoted it in Texas while playing shows through early 2020.
Though the pandemic might have tried to slow him down, Mikey decided since he couldn’t play live music he would just record it instead. With the invaluable help of his best friend and producer Jeremy Woods of JWVIII Media, Mikey set out to create a full album of songs that were influenced by his life or the stories told to him. He couldn’t leave out his biggest influence so One More Beer With Dad was re-released on the Redneck Rockstar album, along with 11 other songs. With the help of his old friends and new friends from Nashville, Redneck Rockstar was born over the course of 2020 and released in early 2021 .
Now looking ahead to 2022, Goode is preparing for a 3 month solo tour across the US with plans to play shows from Texas to California and back home in Indiana with his band, The Junkyard Dogs. Never a dull song in his set list, Mikey guarantees a “GOODe” time in every song, every set, every show.
